In an unforgettable journey, students of Class X of Pallotti Hill Public school set out on a captivating tour to the scenic destinations of Kodaikanal and Rameswaram from October 17th to October 20th, 2023.The adventure began bright and early at 6 AM on the 17th of October as the enthusiastic students eagerly boarded their bus. The excitement was palpable as they left for their first stop at Palakkad. There, they explored the historic Palakkad Fort, immersing themselves in the rich heritage of the region. After an engaging visit, the group enjoyed a sumptuous lunch and then continued their journey, reaching the picturesque hill station of Kodaikanal at 8 PM. Their accommodation for the night was the comfortable Maharaja Residency.The following day, the students wasted no time and set out early in the morning to discover the wonders of Kodaikanal. They explored various attractions such as Moir Point, Suicide Point, and the serene Kodaikanal Lake. A highlight of the trip was the delightful cycling experience near the lake, providing students with an up-close view of the area’s breathtaking natural beauty.On the 19th, the group departed for Rameswaram, commencing their journey at 3 AM and arriving at 10 AM. Their first stop was the Kalam Museum, a tribute to the revered Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, where life events were beautifully depicted through wax statues and paintings. The tour continued with a visit to Dhanushkodi, where the students enjoyed the pristine beach and soaked in the serene atmosphere. The visit to the historic Rameswaram Temple added a touch of spirituality to the trip, and the students were left in awe of the temple’s architectural grandeur. On their way back, they made a stop at the iconic Pamban Bridge, disembarking from the bus to take a brief walk on this remarkable structure. As the sun began to set, the students reluctantly started their journey back on the evening of the 19th. With a mix of newfound memories and experiences, they arrived back at Pallotti Villa by 7 AM on the 20th of October. The tour left an indelible mark on the young minds, and they returned home with a greater understanding of the rich culture, history, and natural beauty that India has to offer.
