Pallotti Hill Public School celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic spirit, enthusiasm and pride. The celebration provided a wonderful platform for students to express their love for the nation and to appreciate the rich heritage, culture and values of India.The celebrations began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a vibrant march past by the different houses of the school. The disciplined march past reflected the students’ sense of unity, teamwork and patriotism and added grandeur to the occasion.A variety of competitions and activities were organised for students of different grades in connection with Independence Day. The students of KG section participated enthusiastically in an elocution competition, where the little ones spoke confidently on patriotic themes.Students of grades 1 and 2 took part in a colouring competition, showcasing their creativity through patriotic pictures. They also participated in a “Test Your Knowledge” activity, exploring Indian states and their capitals.For grades 3 and 4, an art competition based on the theme “India: Culture and Heritage” encouraged students to portray the beauty and diversity of our country. A “Know Your Country” quiz tested their knowledge of India, while the craft making competition brought out their creativity and innovative skills. The students also participated in class decoration on the theme “Heritage of India”, transforming their classrooms into colourful displays of India’s rich cultural legacy.Students of grade 5 also participated in the celebrations by creating beautiful craft items for the competition, demonstrating their imagination, creativity and patriotic spirit.The students of grades 8, 9 and 10 participated in an engaging quiz competition, which provided an opportunity for them to demonstrate their knowledge of India’s history, geography, culture and national heritage.The celebrations were filled with colour, creativity, knowledge and patriotic fervour. The active participation of students from KG to higher grades made the Independence Day celebration a memorable and meaningful occasion. The programme not only celebrated India’s freedom but also encouraged students to value the ideals of unity, diversity, responsibility and love for the nation.The celebration concluded on a joyful and patriotic note, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride in our great nation.
