In observance of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Palloti hill public school conducted an impactful Anti-Drug Day programme on 26 June 2025 aimed at raising awareness among students about the dangers of drug abuse.
The event began with a soulful prayer rendered by the school choir. Parvana of Class VIII delivered the welcome speech.
A powerful message was shared by Fr. Albin, emphasizing the need for a drug-free society and encouraging students to choose a healthy lifestyle.
The highlight of the day was an awareness class on drug abuse, led by Mr. Sujith N, Excise Officer, Kunnamangalam. His talk enlightened students about the legal, health, and social consequences of drug use and stressed the importance of staying informed and vigilant.
The school leader then led the students in taking an anti-drug oath, pledging to stay away from drugs and spread awareness in their communities. Principal Fr Vipin Augusty also shared a motivational message, urging students to make wise decisions and stand firm against peer pressure.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Evan Immanuel of Class VIII.
The Anti-Drug Day programme successfully served its purpose of educating and empowering students to be ambassadors of a drug-free generation.
